PUBLIC NOTICE – TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (TIP)
The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) is preparing its Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), a list of transportation projects that will receive federal funds in the next four years, and the associated Air Quality Conformity Analysis (AQCA). These draft documents are available for public comment from 4/10/2026 to 5/10/2026 with a hybrid (in-person or virtual) public meeting on 4/23/2026 at 11am and a virtual public meeting on 4/30/2026 at 6:30pm.
Information on the documents and opportunities to provide input are available on CRCOG’s website at http://crcogct.gov/tip or by calling (860) 724-4686. Written comments or questions may be submitted to jtreanor@crcogct.gov or Jack Treanor, CRCOG, 350 Church Street, 3rd Floor, Hartford, CT 06103 until 5/10/2026. The TIP and AQCA will be reviewed and endorsed by CRCOG’s Transportation Committee on 5/18/2026 and by CRCOG’s Policy Board on 5/27/2026.
This notice of public involvement activities and time established for public review and comments on the TIP development process will satisfy the Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) Program of Projects (POP) requirements for proposed transit improvements. The POP is the equivalent of the transit element of the TIP.
The State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) is also available for review. Hybrid public meetings on the STIP are scheduled for 6/3/2026 at 1pm and 7pm. El Consejo de Gobiernos de la Región del Capitolio (CRCOG) está preparando su Programa de Mejoras del Transporte (TIP), una lista de proyectos de transporte que recibirán fondos federales en los próximos cuatro años, así como el Análisis de Conformidad de la Calidad del Aire (AQCA) asociado. Estos documentos preliminares están disponibles para comentarios del público desde el 04/10/2026 hasta el 05/10/2026; asimismo, se llevará a cabo una reunión pública híbrida (presencial o virtual) el 04/23/2026 a las 11:00 a. m., y una reunión pública virtual el 04/30/2026 a las 6:30 p. m.
