The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) is preparing its Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), a list of transportation projects that will receive federal funds in the next four years, and the associated Air Quality Conformity Analysis (AQCA). These draft documents are available for a public comment period from 9/11/2020 to 10/12/2020 with virtual public meetings on 9/30/2020 at 1pm and 7pm.
Copies of the TIP and AQCA are available on CRCOG’s website http://www.crcog.org/tip. To obtain a printed copy or to obtain virtual public meeting information, contact Michael Cipriano at (860) 724-4223 or email@example.com . Written comments or questions may be submitted to: Michael Cipriano, Senior Transportation Planner, CRCOG, 241 Main St., Hartford, CT 06106 until 10/12/2020. The TIP and AQCA will be reviewed and endorsed by CRCOG’s Transportation Committee on 10/26/2020 and by CRCOG’s Policy Board on 10/28/2020. Both of these virtual meetings will begin at noon.
This notice of public involvement activities and time established for public review and comments on the TIP development process will satisfy the FTA’s Program of Projects (POP) requirements for proposed transit improvements. The POP is the equivalent of the Transit Element of the TIP.
The State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) and Public Involvement Procedures (PIP) are also available for review. Information on the documents and opportunities to provide input are available on the Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (CTDOT) website www.ct.gov/dot/stip or by calling (860) 594-2040. Virtual public meetings are scheduled for 9/23/2020. Written comments on the STIP and PIP may be sent to Maribeth Wojenski, Transportation Assistant Planning Director, CTDOT, PO Box 317546, Newington, CT 06111 until 10/9/2020.
