“Rocky”, the boxing hero played by Sylvester Stallone in six occasions, will have a new release, but this time the protagonist will change and will focus on the nephew of one of the characters in the saga, as reported by the digital edition of Variety. The story will revolve around the nephew of the boxer Apollo Creed, a role embodied by Carl Weathers in the first 5 releases of the franchise. Stallone will continue being Rocky Balboa, this time as a coach. In the film, the nephew of Apollo Creed fights to dedicate himself towards boxing, although his family tries to make him do other activities. However, his mental instinct is way more powerful than the advice he receives and he convinces Balboa to become his mentor. In the past movies, Balboa and Creed were rivals in the ring, although afterwards they became close friends. Irwin Winkler and Robert Chartoff, producers of the original film, will finance the project along with Stallone and Kevin King.
