Hispanic Professional Network's 6th Annual Awards & National Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration for Connecticut, "Honoring Hispanic Excellence in Media", will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at the NEW Marriott Hotel Ball room in Downtown Hartford, CT featuring a special concertperformance by the Salsa legend, TITO NIEVES, http://www.titonieves.com .



An original commemorative National Hispanic Heritage Month poster designed

by renowned artist Alberto Bonello will be presented and made available to participants on the day of the event and distributed to public schools in the area. This black tie affair will feature a formal reception with hors d'oeuvres, live Latin music featuring "El Trio Los Bohemios", a Latino artists painting exhibit sponsored by ARTE, Inc. and a silent auction.



Mr. David Medina, a respected journalist and Editorial Writer for the Hartford Courant will then kick things off serving as the Master of Ceremonies for the evening in the Grand Ballroom. The main event will feature a formal dinner and a keynote presentation by Mr. Juan Gonzalez of the New York Daily News, followed by the presentation of HPN's Annual Awards.



A professional video production of the event will be produced and will be

broadcast on the Telemundo Spanish Television Network / Hartford -

Springfield. The program will be produced by Emmy Award-Winning Producer,

Mr. Frank Borres, American View Productions.



Other highlights for the evening include the unveiling of the new

HispanicPortal.org website, featuring a new design and additional features

such as the HPN Resume Bank. The United States Postal Service will also be

unveiling the four new "Let‚s Dance / Bailemos" stamp series commemorating

Latin Dance (Salsa, Merengue, Cha Cha and Mambo)!



Tickets for the event are $100.00 per person.
