“Because I got covered” campaign in Windham

Willimantic, Conn. – Access Community Action Agency has partnered with Access Health CT to promote the “Because I Got Covered” campaign and help Windham and Tolland County residents enroll in quality, affordable health care coverage. Already, nearly 122,000 Connecticut residents have enrolled in coverage through Connecticut’s health insurance exchange.
The “Because I Got Covered” campaign is a targeted effort in the 14 urban centers across Connecticut that have the highest rates of uninsured residents.
Access Community Action Agency is a nonprofit organization serving Tolland and Windham Counties with the mission to create the conditions that empower individuals, families and communities to overcome the barriers that impair their ability to be economically stable. Affordable health care is a key component that effects economic stability for families and individuals.
Access Community Action Agency is one of over 160 health, community and faith-based organizations across Connecticut that have partnered with Access Health CT through the Navigator and Assister Outreach Program.
Open enrollment continues until March 31, 2014. Consumers can continue to compare plans and shop for coverage with an in-person assister, online at www.accesshealthct.com
