BBB Opens Nominations for Student Ethics Scholarships

Connecticut Better Business Bureau is seeking submissions for its 2016 Student Ethics Scholarships. This award recognizes a high school student who personifies strong ethics demonstrated through leadership, community service and academic history. A second award, the BBB Military Line Student Ethics Scholarship, honors a student from a military family with the same ethical attributes.
Nominations are open to all Connecticut High School students in their junior year and the scholarship can be applied towards tuition costs at an accredited college or university of their choice. The awards are judged based on high school records, achievements, community contributions, and an essay that illustrates how the applicants’ qualities, principles, accomplishments and actions have contributed to their own ethical values. Entries will be evaluated and selected by an independent panel of judges.
The deadline for submitting applications is July 8, 2016, and the scholarships will be presented at the Annual Awards Banquet in November. You will find additional information and entry forms on the website. If you have any questions, contact Jackie MacKnight at 860-740-4500 x 123
