APAPRO de CT se pone en acción

We are all very concerned with this terrible news from last wednesday. APAPRO, Association of Peruvian American Professionals, has been working in forming a direct alliance with either a school, church or small organization in Pisco/Chincha/Ica area so we can provide them with funds directly. We wanted to share with you some different choices available on how to help Peru in this time of crisis.

1) CARITAS is a Spanish organization already working in Peru for many years. They have been in the news helping us since the earthquake. Please visit their website (www.caritas.org.pe).

2) UN TECHO PARA MI PAIS; They are a group of young university students that have already traveled to Pisco and are planning to build 100 emergency houses. Please see their main website for donation(www.untechoparamipais.org).

3) CONNECTICUT RESIDENTS; The Consulate General of Peru at 250-D Main Street, Hartford is collecting clothes, blankets, sleeping bags, water, etc in order to send them to Peru. They will also be open this Saturday 25th.

APAPRO is also creating a Help Peru Fund thru our members, friends, business and non-profit contacts. We want to thank all our attendees from our school supply drive event last Friday who made a donation.

Thanks for your time,
